Trimmed boots etc are just as bad. A whole too three animals are killed and the rest of the fur is thrown out and wasted so another can be slaughtered. It takes roughly 11 cats to make one coat, 4 large dogs (huskies etc.) to make one coat, and 3 bears to make one coat. And coats are mass produced, so multiply those numbers by half the worlds population. If you want to wear fur, wear faux fur! It's even cheaper, people!

To the people who tell me to consider the native americans- in ym opinion theirs nothing wrong with them-they only kill the animals to keep warm and for bare necessities. We, on the other hand, kill them for the sake of fashion. And it doesn't even look to hot.

I wear fake fur not real fur because animals shouldn't be skinned for the sake of rich and idiotic human beings

i don't have any or seek it out. but, i would wear it. there's nothing wrong with fur. you don't yell at native americans for cruelly slaughtering animals for their usage, do you? what about the people that spray-paint fur coats? don't you realize that, by destroying the coat you make it all worse? you've caused the animal to completely die in vain. someone at least killed it for a reason before and you go and ruin that reason? if you were lost in the wild, do you think all the carnivorous animals would spare you? the world is a harsh place. get over it.
sure sweetie, native americans were all some calm, peaceful, nonviolent, extraordinarily noble sect of the human race. if they were as righteous, virtuous, honorable and upright as the history books would have you believe, it would be the only time in history that a group of people ever were so. don't blindly believe everything you read.

I prefer to wear fake fur. I prefer not to wear real fur because I don't want to know that a dead animal just got killed to make my outfit more fahionable. I have boots with real fur and a jacket but thats it. Its only the trim..

I agree with you. It is major crulety. I don't dislike people that wear fur but I think that it is wrong because it is just another way the people can look top of the line. I don't wear fur either.

I don't but I would. Animals are here for us to use resourcefully. Food, blankets, clothes, whatever. Were Native Americans wrong for skinning buffalo for their fur to survive winters? Animals aren't here to look pretty.

i have a real mink scarf and i sometimes wear it and i really don't have a problem with wearing REAL fur
