I didn't go to college until my mid 30's. Haven't finished yet, as I was going very part-time for several semesters. It is "weird" some days, being old enough to be their mom; but it's also fun! Profs seem to appreciate the maturity and experiences we bring to the class.

I went back to school at 50, expecting some culture shock; it wasn't as weird as I imagined.
There were only a few teenagers, but most of the people in my classes were in their late 20s or 30s, and a few in their 40s. Community colleges tend to have a older student body, and the subject does make some difference. (I was taking Human Services.)
I've moved since then and am now waiting to meet state eligibility requirements to go back and finish in my new state.

I started college around 27 or 28 and completed it with the support of my wife.
I actually started college @ 18 but didn't had a goal so I quit and travel the Country until I met my wife.

that must be hard but your doing whats right and your not the only one. the kids are more grown up there and you'll find ppl that probably remind you of yourself when you were their age. and thats a good thing
