Absolutely! Each person has one vote. If you are knowledgeable about the issues and candidates and are able to communicate well with friends and family - then you may be able to impact more voters than TV, radio and newspapers. People tend to tune out the media. Having someone they know and respect will have more influence. Remember, we cannot allow the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Howard Dean, Chuck Schummer, Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy or any of the other hate filled liberals getting any more power, control and influence then they already have. Maybe we can decrease it.
GO REPUBLICANS!!

its helpful for ANYONE to get out the vote as a respected member of society but what is the party line emphasis all about, if your assuming the electorate is a democratic majority your very sadly mistaken. generally less than fifty percent of registered voters even respond so NOTHING is majority and if you look back historically sixth year presidents lose seats as reagan and clinton did.
if you believe all the hillary/kerry dogma and diatribe that this is a mandate that ive got a heckuva bridge in brooklyn for you real cheap.

Personally, I would like to see every eligible voter in the US vote. I can't imagine a person ignoring that right. I just don't understand why we can only turn out 15% to some elections.

If either party wants to win in a landslide then all they have to do is get 20% of their eligible base to vote. In a midterm election you are lucky if you get 12% of registered voters to show up.
