Keep the two separate......completely different...not combined. If necessary, have one event in the morning, and the other in the afternoon. He needs for both to be special, so do what is necessary to make it so. Have his birthday party away from home, at Chuck E Cheese, or somewhere, but let him choose where. If you have it at home, it's not going to be as special. You're a good GrandParent by the way. You're gonna do just fine!

Hi!

Your grandson is one of the luckiest persons in the world , and obviously u too. 'coz Jesus bestowed his showers of blessings on ur entire family as HE gifted u a lovely little babe. His mom shouldn't be worried as she is a 'blessed' mom. To make it a remarkable one, I suppose u should make an offering to Jesus everyyear. This would be an opportunity to show ur humbleness and greatfulness to HIM- LORD ALMIGHTY. When ur grandson will be grown up , teach him to start his B'day with a prayer before HIM. In the early morning Santa could have given him his Christmas gift. And after the morning prayer, u may invite children to have Christmas Cake together. Give everyone a small gift on Christmas . The joy of giving somebody is the real pleasure of Christmas. Have a good treat in the afternoon. Arrange a B'day party in the eve. With sparkling lights,Balloons and B'day cake it would really be a marvellous one. let them dance, sing and have fun together and enjoy the great taste of food that are specially meant for the day.Won't be a great day for him!!!

Happy Birthday in advance

I can imagine. My granddad told me this horror story...his birthday was on Christmas eve. In the morning he got a pair of socks that he had to give back after breakfast. Then in the evening he received the same pair again as a Christmas present. My great grandparents must have been so stingy !!

I think it will be great if you simply go somewhere with him, maybe the zoo, a castle or something you can tell stories about the things you see. It is always nice for a small kid to go some place with his grandparents. I am 24 and I still love that :)

I know several people that their birthdays are on christmas day.
What they do is celebrate the birthdays on christmas eve.

On christmas eve you can celebrate the childs birthday to the fullest then on christmas day make sure he knows how much you love them and if you have to have another cake just so they know it is their birthday. This way he has two special days and believe me he will grow up looking forward to his birthday as there is two days that are celebrated.

Open the Christmas presents in the morning. Then in the evening, bring out a special birthday cake and present for the young lad.

he will feel left out. always make sure that his presents are wrapped in Birthday wrapping paper.
my b-day is 12/22 & it was hard growing up. but I've recently met someone who has a Xmas b-day whose family always celebrated a special day in the summer & gave him presents then. that way he could have parties with his friends - who will all be out of town during the Xmas holidays. that would have been great...
with all the holiday fuss, I've had more than one b-day completely forgotten
