Saddam commited those crimes over 20 yrs ago, so why just now? Things had been business as usual, and now all of a sudden there is justice? He's been free all this time, he's lived a full life, so is justice really being served?

No, I don't think he should be turned free, I'm just wondering what took so long.

the Iraq government will never hang this man . this is just a lot of smoke and mirrors from the bush administration . Saddam will appeal this sentence until he die a old man behind bars .

Seriously??? So because he reigned with terror and NOT respect we should just turn our cheek and not hold the man accountable for all of the crimes he committed against innocent Iraqi civilians? I second the thought of "better late than never". Maybe now the new Iraqi government and its citizens will see that justice does prevail!

so...according to you we should just forget about it, let him go, get on with our lives... why bother? maybe we should just do that with everyone, huh? why bother with justice, at all? it's so much work.
