Will Dale Earnhardt's #3 number ever be retired?

I know I would not want to see anyone take his number other than Dale Jr.Is anyone with me on this?I know that it was awsome to see him drive the black #8 this year.It gave me goosebumps!

no....RCR still "owns" the number. and dont be a bit surprised to see jr in the #3 in about 2 yrs. when his contract with DEI runs out. childress wants to make it happen, and it will.

the #3 was retired from racing on the cup series,but it will never be retired from marketing
