I doubt it was hard to find many people to celebrate the sentencing. I just hope they put the hanging on live international TV, or, heck even pay-per-view. I'll shell out bucks for that. The death of that mass murderer will be a joyous day for the world.

No, because the people dancing were Shiite Muslims, who hated Saddam, because Saddam was a Sunni Muslim. Saddam persecuted anyone who was not like him, or who was not up to his standards, so he treated the Shiite Muslims poorly and gave Sunnis more luxuries. The people were genuinely happy. If you lived under a brutal dictator for year, watching friends and family die, wouldn't you celebrate? I would. They are celebrating like they usually do; by shooting guns and dancing. They have always celebrated like that, except when Saddam was in power, they did not have guns; they only danced to celebrate, when that was allowed. That person who said that either does not know anything about how bad Saddam Hussein was, or they are very ignorant.

Surprisingly I seen the dancing on CNN, the same channel that showed Iraqis saying they wanted our troops to leave. My guess is that it has been downplayed quite a bit, or they couldn't find anyone who would protest for money.

The Shiites hate him, the Sunni's don't and they are the ones who will resort to violence over the sentence. I don't think anybody was paid. If there is a CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, Al Jazeera camera close by, they will put on a show.
