Economics is the study of choice. It allocates a limited supply of goods to an unlimited supply of wants; so therefore, choices could be made.

It branches off into about every sort of topic. Law, environment, money systems, and political policies and agendas. Mostly, the thing that ties all of these things together is Game Theory, but not always.

Economics is awesome becuase it's a pretty versatile degree to specialize in, but at the same time it's not as useless as an English degree, which is also pretty versatile.

There's alot to say for economics, since choices are made every single day to pick one thing over the other, to buy or not to buy, to keep in a contract or breach where it is more efficient.

The one thing you have to keep in mind I feel, is that economics is not fair. One person gets less while another person gets more, usually.

And there you have it, the science of choice. I LOVE economics and can really say tons of things can be explained using existing economic theory, while other parts of economics are still fast growing areas.

Hope I could help!

Economics is really whether you can afford something that you want, if not what would you like to do without so that you can afford the thing you want, or what can you do so that you can have what you want, without having to do without anything. There is nothing complicated about it.

economics is certainly the most rigorous of all social sciences. it can be quite narrow-minded though, but its applications are wide if you use only economic principles.
