I tell you what if the end of the world is nigh the last thing I would be doing is standing around with a sandwich board ringing me bell! No, I'd be on a nice holiday me somewhere hot! Lol

They no longer need to do this as there are enough religious nutters on television, on the Internet and all over the world, telling us the same rubbish, although I did spot a nutter screaming something about god and religion in the middle of Leeds a couple of days ago it is funny that these sort of people do not get harassed by the police but anyone who tries to protest against Blair or Bush gets arrested but then this is the sort of country we are living in now one where we are going back into the dark ages were religion rules and we have to obey the priests and their supporters

The end of the world is not for another 26 years, 7 months and 4 days. I have my board made up ready to wear for 2 weeks before the event.

I see these people as complete nuts. Maybe because I am an Anglican, I find such things irrational, unreasonable and unfounded. But, thoughout history there have been these wierdos who haven't the spiritual sense to come in out of the rain nor the spiritual insight to see past their own overly large noses...noses they wish to poke into everyone else's business.

You are so right, normally when I walk down Dudley Street in Wolverhampton city centre you get accosted by them, one guy had a cross and was chasing people, yet recently I haven't seen any of them. Life is once again peaceful.

I think you have hit on something here. A contraryian would have to believe the end is near. Woe is me.
Did you ever notice that those guys on the religion channel who were predicting the end of the world for the year 2000, are still on, still preaching. You'd think they'd be embarassed by their mistakes.

Deggs Hello,
I know!!! It's TRUE!!!! I used to know someone who did that and he vanished. Is this no longer the real world? Has it come to an end and we are the ones perpetually dammed to float in an ageing cyber world of deteriorating key boards and manky toe nails?

this end of the world thing is very christian/catholic thingy.
well im a christian and in a christian point of view, yes its coming very soon.
when the moon turns red, and blah, lightning will strike , and will be seen by THE WHOLE WORLD, thunder will sound and be heard by the WHOLE WORLD , the Rapture is soon.
and basically, those who are "saved" will go up to heaven,
note, not all christians/catholics will go heaven..
in a christian's point of view, we're trying to make sure as many of us, the world population goes up, rather then being LEFT BEHIND, and thrown in the "lake of fire", by Judgement Day.
we're right smack in the middle of the Second coming of Christ.
well this is a kinda sensitive issue so its up to you really, to acknowledge it.
