The answer yuor tutor probably wants to hear is "black Africans", because the first humans were Africans (arguably 2 million years ago) and science assumes that people lived in tribes from earliest times (after all, chimpanzees and bonobos, our nearest genetic relatives, both do).

But if you mean "which tribe now in existence has been in existence the longest as a distinct society", the answer is less clear. Some Native Americans, notably the Hopi, say they've been around for hundreds of thousands of years, and I'm not aware of any African society that makes that claim about itself. You might want to look into how long the Pygmies have been separate from everyone else, apparently they are very distinct genetically.

native american tribes trace their origins to the ancient people that lived before such as the hohokam or the ancestral pueblo (anasazi) in Arizona. the hohokam in central arizona, near phoenix (culturally) can be traced to the early ADs, however the paleoindian groups go back as far as the last ice age. africa however has been the core of human origins for the past 65 million years. also different native american groups through out the country have different tribes/cultures/beliefs, i'm only familiar with the southwest.
