It sounds like calcium deposits to me. If that is the case, you just have to let your fingernails grow. Cut them like you normally would until the white spots get far enough uot to cut them off

this is really due to a ZINC deficiency. start taking Zinc 100 mg. daily. men need so much Zinc & they lose it when they ejaculate.
Gradually, as your fingernails grow out, as the weeks & weeks pass, & YOU TAKE YOUR DAILY ZINC, the new nail growth will not have these spots anymore.
I had them for years till I realized the problem - never had them since I started daily ZINC 100 mg. (vitamin B-complex once daily helps to activate the zinc. Buy that also)
All the best. Hope I've helped.

I read in a magazine that they are bruises, and the skin grew back white. I have to go back to the magazine to find out how you get rid of them......... yeah I can't find the magazine. Just drink milk I think.

I have heard that they are one of two things:
1. Calcium deposits: You can't really do anything about them.
2. Sometimes people who bruise easy get nicks in their nails that appear white. Preventing them would just be by being careful!
Hope that helps!

When people works with their hands alot they sometimes get this. It's like a small bruise on the nail from an impact. It wouldn't have been painful, so you most likely wouldn't remember doing it. It's nothing to worry about.
