Hanging is too good for this guy! What they really ought to to do is hang him by his neck and let him drop onto an electric chair. While they are running about a half million volts of juice through his butt, they should inject him with industrial strength poison. Then, just for good measure, why not shoot him a couple of times? After all that, then they should really go to work on him!
Hell yes, put it on TV. Make it a pay per view and donate all the money to his victims families! Or give some to the families of US troops that have died in Iraq.

That's in the US. They do all kinds of things out in the Middle East, because they have different civil laws. They have their own laws, and by Iraqi law, Saddam must be hung. He asked for a firing squad, but he was denied. Hanging was outlawed in the US, except for the states of Washington and New Hampshire. The law was changed in 1996 stating that lethal injection is the only option, unless a convict wants a hanging, but no hangings have happened since then. I'm not sure, but if you go on the Al-Jazeera website, they might by some small chance show the hanging, but I have a feeling that they won't, because it can't be in public because of the threat of extreme violence, and if they do show it on TV, they will only show it out in the Middle East. Anyway, it wil be a little while before he is hung, because by Iraqi Law, there is an automatic appeal, and they go over everything again, but it is just a delay; they won't change their minds.

The sentence will be carried out in Iraq. Laws in the Middle East are very different from the United States. The sentence is under automatic appeal by a nine judge panel. They can deliberate for as long as they like on the matter, but if the sentence is upheld it will be carried out within 30 days after. People are saying that hanging is inhumane. I say that compared to the atrocities this man committed it is more than fair. If I had my way they would just drop him into the middle of a crowd of Shiites and let them do as they will with him.

Last hanging in the US was in Delaware about a few years ago in 99 or 1998 i think i can't remember i was living in Dover at the time it was the prisoners choice then after that i believe another imnmate in a different state choose death by gunfire, then Congress moved to bann such deaths performed by the state......but anyways
Nice mercy being shown by a "Christian" nation, in the end it comes down to" Judge not for ye will be judged".... Americans may also find itself in judgement, then they will ask for forgivness and to be spared, yet did they spare Saddam
it is not about what they have done that goes on your record in the afterlife it is about what u do, don't u think the Lord is more pleased when u show mercy to the wicked then to the saved.
This world believes it can kill it's way to peace and security, to some war is peace, i just remember that violence begets violence that in itself proves this war will produce nothing but war not peace.
Bush's war has the potential to kill more iraqi's then Saddam, if a failed state is created from this war, America or Israel will face a choice "nuke" that nation or suffer, because a failed Iraq will be hostile enemy bent on bringing nothing but pain to those who created the war and their allies

Each country has it's own constitution, hanging is allowed in Iraq. Saddam would rather the firing squad, I don't blame him, that's what I'd choose.
After seeing the video clip where Saddam ordered murder for accused (not proven) crimes, when the person was blind folded, hands tied behind the back and pushed off a building, cutting off hands and tongues. Hanging or firing squad for him seems a very mild punishment.

The trial is in Iraq, not in the United States, so our justice system's rules do not apply there. In Iraq, hangings are permissible, so that's what Saddam will receive.
No doubt there will be video on the Web for anyone morbid enough to want to watch it.

Hanging is no longer used in the US, but in other countries it is still considered as a death penalty. Some places still use a firing squad, which to be honest I am surprised that Iraq does not. I highly doubt they will televise his death, but I am sure that we will be able to see it on Youtube or ebaumsworld shortly after it happens.

Since this is a military tribunal, hanging has been the punishment.
Look at Nuremberg. Most of them hanged (except Goering, who took poison)

Iraq is a different country with its own laws. States can hang if they wish.
