He has done horrible things - beyond belief - in his lifetime. He used his power to kill and rape and murder. But I do not believe in capital punishment. It sickens me that people are happy that somebody - anybody will hang. Should he be punished for his crimes? ABSOLUTELY! Should society decide if somebody will live or die? No.
And if you want to get into the whole "prisons are crowded" discussion - I think our prisons in the U.S. (don't know about what goes on in other countries) are ridiculously plush. Schools to learn new trades, weight rooms, bastketball courts, large screen TV's, ping pong tables. Put prisoners in a cell - allow them to walk or run laps in a court once a day - allow the illiterate ones learn to read and write - and give them bland food. If our prisons were horrid places to go - the prisons would stop filling up. It's wrong to kill people - but it's not wrong for them to have consequences in a harsh manner - as long as it's not cruel.

To the likes of Saddam, Hitler, Stalin and something the only sentence appropriate for them may well be Athenian Draconian regulation. so which you do no longer ought to circulate historic previous looking, the Athenians (while they convicted somebody of comparable crimes "previous real looking doubt", the want lead the guy to a place out area Athens the place a public execution got here approximately. that they had 2 Pine timber grown approx. 15ft aside. they might bend their tops, tie the convicts legs on each, and then "permit circulate". merciless, inhumane, and down good terrible. One draw lower back to this sort of execution nonetheless....you spot after a number of those public executions, there have been not extra rapists, Armed Robbers, Hijackers, street Robbers, thugs praying on the weal, or mass murderers, including convicted traitors..... humorous how the Ancients worked out some issues isn't' it. historic previous comments, you could walk/return and forth thoroughly, camp exterior, or by no skill had to be stricken if the door is locked, everywhere interior the Athenians territories.

Personally I think he got what he deserved. It just wasn't right to kill so many people and treat them like less than human. To me he was a modern day Hitler.
