Here is how I would compare the two airlines:

1. Business Models: How easyJet model differs from RyanAir's version of the original low-cost airline (Southwest Airlines) business model (e.g. easyJet mixes fleet while RyanAir uses the same fleet, RyanAir charges for meals, sliding scale pricing model). The imporant thing is "who is operating at the lowest cost"?

2. Financial differences (e.g. revenue size, operating profit size, net profit size) and ratio analysis (e.g. revenues/pax, break-even load factor vs. actual load factor, cost per seat flow).

3. Strategic differences.

4. Management differences: How did Stellios set up the biz versus O'Leary.

5. Market differences. e.g. compare/contrast where each airline flies and how often. This will give you insight of which markets each is trying to attract (e.g. is easyJet trying to carpet bomb the Brits-to-boozy-destination markets?).

6. The superficial crap that anyone can look up. Market cap, employees, number of planes, routes, etc.

Good luck.
