My friend Crystal has recently been very pushy about becoming my girlfriend, ever since we became friends 4 months ago we've gone to dinner a few times(at nice restaurants or cafes} gone to the
theatres numerous times, and on her birthday I got her a heart crystal and Safire necklace and took her on a shopping spree. Then on my birthday, she took me to a restaurant called "The river side'', she got a private booth, candle lit, and was decorated with roses and had a lovely dinner. I do care for her alot and would do anything for her, but I don't know if I'm ready to push our realtionship to that stage?

It sounds like you like her alot, and maybe she is getting that impression from you, too. That's all fine....BUT....do you really want a pushy g/f???? I don't think anyone does. It's much cooler to let the relationship take it's sweet time, isn't it!
Maybe you should explain to her that it's too soon to be so serious, and right now, altho you really care for her, you'd like to lighten it up a bit. Have fun, and let the "romance" take the course it was meant to.
Good luck!

Hey man, don't rush into a decision either way. Examine your reasons for not wanting her... have you been hurt by someone before? Haven't we all... Love hurts!! Maybe she just has the hots for you and wants to play house. Just remember she has feelings too so whatever you decide make sure that is what you really want and consider the implications either way. If you brush her off would she still be a good friend to you or will she hate you for it? How long since you had a girlfriend? Obviously she wants you or she wouldn't have shown you her soft side like that. Your move buddy. Just remember "Engage brain before putting foot in mouth."

If she is ready for the next step and you don,t go to it with her you could loose her are you ready for that ,A good woman can be hard to find and it sounds like you have one.I would give it a try and see how it went. Might be the best thing you ever done.

You obviously made up your mind that you don't want a girlfriend. Tell her that you don't want her as your girlfriend. Be honest about it.
No more contact with her. No phone, no visiting or anything with her. Give her time to pick up the pieces. You do owe her that much.

That would depend on the reason why you feel that you are not ready. Instead of talking it over with us you should be talking it over with her. She would be the best one to help you out because she will know the situation better than we would

if you don't want to, don't give her gifts that lovers give and stop the romantic dinners. she must have gotten the wrong impression from you.seems to me like the only thing missing here is the commitment
