.....cartoons of today that are meant to target the young ones aren't suitable anymore. U have swear-words in them, nudity etc. I'm not referring to South Park and others of that nature as they target the adults, but some that they show on kiddie channels.

I used to love watching cartoons like scooby-doo, the jetsons, the flinstones, and popeye. But now TV is so different. The cartoons went down the drain! It's so sad. I don't even watch those channels anymore because now they play cartoons that only adults should be watching! Rarely do you find a great cartoon that's suitable for children these days. =(

I couldn't agree with you more, I have had to stop my 9 year old from watching the Simpson's as he was beginning to act like Bart ans say things he would say, and I absolutely hated it, he sounded like a rude boy, even though he isn't, he is back to normal now, he doesn't watch it anymore, and I am now very careful what he watches, I monitor anything that is new, I agree with you children's cartoons shouldn't show bad language or nudity, what is this world coming to.

Yes it's shame that today's cartoons shows only violence. Everything you can see on Cartoon Tv is bullsh...There's no more cartoons like Tom and Jerry - ok, Tom and Jerry was also violent a little but not so much as cartoons we see today. There is also no cartoons anymore for kids who don't speak yet.
I don't know what this is, maybe american goverment is setting program on cartoon channels, but this is a disaster.

Yeah, I agree. But having a 3 & 4 year old, I don't really want them watching the dark, depressing Disney stuff (with mom's dying and such). They also represent women in a way that I don't want my daughter to act. She can be great on her own, she doesn't need her prince charming, or magic slipper or anything.

I agree with you 100%!It's really getting out of hand, all the things the kids watch and it's not just the nudity,it's also the violence. All these things are so unnecessary.

Yes, as a teacher I can see the results in the classroom. Children repeat what they hear on T.V. Don't ask me why, but what is permissable on television today would have been banned just ten years ago.

I would not necessarily agree. Cartoons of my age contained as much violence or rude words as they do today. However, what I have seen changed is our level of tolerance to these images.

I agree with you entirely. A lot of them show kids having hissy fits if they don't get their own way, and back-chatting adults. I would seriously consider only letting my kid (if I had one) watch only what I used to watch!!
