Mike, im not a practising catholic; but in my youth I was well versed in the Bible. there are sacred books in many religions.I believe there is no "right" way to find God or god's word.We are all fingers pointing at the moon. the truth is, we don't know. If we did, that would take away the Mystery of the Universe. I believe the bible is man's way of trying to document the developments in his own spirituality. If you bring it down to it's basics, the Bible is a plan for civilised living, for helping us to make sense of our everyday lives. It doesn't matter what format it's in; all of us meet God in our own personal way-it's not how we do it; it's that we do it at all. Don't worry too much about getting bogged down in the way translations are set out; it's how we do right by others that will mark us in God's eyes; not how the Bible is worded. I wish you blessings in your search for meaning. I'm sure god is with you.

I have had similar questions before. I had asked everyone i work with and they all told me the same thing. (There are no wrong or wright answers you just have to have faith). Well that was just to simple. I always have to know exactly what happened. I guess we will never know until the day we die we will see and understand all. so my answer to you is just have faith....
