Not sure that all horse-lovers would agree with this statement as most, in my experience, love donkeys as well as horses.
I do understand your point and think its because there is still a social difference attached to the ownership of horses as opposed to donkeys.
Horses conveyed (and still do) some kind of social standing once they were used for more than just working (eg. racing, riding, hunting, etc), whereas the poor old donkey has never made past being just a worker (other than on the beaches of Britain).
Can't think it has anything to do with "reproduction problems" as you suggest, as this is very similar to that of the horse (see the link below). It may be that you mean that breeding a horse is far more controlled (and consequently expensive) than for a donkey.
I love them both.

You want us to "say something about reproduction problems in donkeys"?? Sounds like this question should be under Homework Help.? hmmmmmm? Do a Google search.
And what do you mean by "loved"? I'm sure there are many people in developed (and under-developed) countries that love their donkeys. I think that YOU'RE the one being too hard on donkeys.
They can be useful animals. Hard working. But they're also stubborn and ugly and loud.

Horse + donkey =Mule Are mules a Species? (What is the genus/species identify for a mule?) The reply is NO. Mules don't seem to be a species, they're a hybrid among 2 different species - Equus assinus (the donkey) and Equus caballus (the pony). A species is ordinarily outlined as a institution of animals that may reproduce like examples, and the mule are not able to reproduce.

Because they're as beautiful as horses. It's like comparing a chicken to a peacock.
