I think that perhaps you're scaring her a bit with her intensity- I understand that you feel strongly about her, but at 14 it is a bit stalker-esque to tell someone you really love them unless you're in a romantic relationship, because most guys/girls are not as open as you about their feelings.
I think that it is best that you do not tell her that you will wait for her- you might scare her off even more. Just continue being friends- don't bring up this again for at least a year. Move on for now, or at least pretend to (try casually dating another girl- nothing serious, so your relationshp with the other girl is less akward).
Maybe ask her out again junior year. But you don't have to leave her, just try being friends, or make your friendship closer.
good Luck

Young Son Please!!!!!! Do Not put all your emotions&love into this1-young girl that has decided she can not&does not share your feelings.
This is a familiar topic for me I am the single mom of a now 25yr old who has suffered the same experience.Have always been very honest with him@everything and sometimes the truth hurts but we do not live in the happy ever after we always dream about--I know this 1st-hand.
You need to respect her for her honesty if she has been honest w/you&you in turn honest w/her-after that you can only move on&hope that 1day she just may look at you differently&see the young man you have grown into------women any age hate to see the guy they like/liked happy on their own.
Make her miserable by being a STRONG!!!! Independent Young Man-and having a great young life-Good Luck Young Son-

Aww you got Rejected!!! hahaha.
Ok, that was mean.
OK what you should do, is go out with another girl. Make her jealous. Plus youre only 14 u have years to go. Just live life to the fullest. Make her like you. Stop talking to her, one day.

well dont talk to girls in emails, is my first pice of advice. so much feeling is lost, and its easier to reject someone. second be her friend for a while and show her what kind of person you are, if you are a good dude she'll see that. dont tell her you plan on asking her out again, it sounds weird

Some girls like to take it slow, give it time, and during that time show her you're the guy she wants, write her poems, buy her stuff, romantic stuff like that.
