Infatuation has actually been discussed as a chemical reaction in the brain in response to pheremones. Infatuation is not a condition of philosophical discussion, but rather biological.
So I disagree with your statement.
People cheat for a multitude of reasons. I personally think it is an unnatural state to take a single life partner. It is against basic human nature. But society has encumbered certain beliefs and morals in an attempt to produce a "better" society. I choose to follow these morals and therefore ignore my primal instinct to go forth and multiply. Some people just can't help themselves though. This pegs them a little lower on the tree of evolution. They are still struggling with selfish survival of their genes and out cometing other alpha males for their share of the herd. Mind you, women can be just as coniving.

I think I will disagree with you on this.
This is for the simple reason that you are using the word "cheating". I would understand cheating as an act, that a person says he would do and doesnot do that . Instead he does something contrary to that..
But it can be equally your fault. You may misunderstand him/her and you may be thinking of something totally different. The other person does not know that you are expecting such and such thing out of this relationship. In that case it will not amount to cheating at all.
I may add that poeple like me understand the very word "infatuation" as a temporary and short living fascination for something.

there r many interpretations of "infatuation"
in one sense, it exists as a force which affects & influences the actions of most people around the world .
True love is quite rare in one's life...the nxt most powerful feeling is infatuation...the infatuation towards other people, our work & our dreams.
