If you're over 21(and your daddy's surname isn't TRUMP, HILTON, etc) then you usually have A LOT more responsibilities, and with life being what it is, the moments of TRUE happiness become fewer and fewer as the years pass you by, so no wonder we're not as "chirpy" as we once were.

I am optimistic and chirpy, but you are right more and more people are becoming more pessimistic and angry. It has to do with what is going on with jobs or should I say no jobs. More people are losing jobs everyday. They losing there houses and everything they have worked so hard for. Times are tough all around and it's depressing so they then become angry. I hope things change soon for everyones sake. I live in Michigan and alot of people are moving out and finding jobs else where. God Bless

Yes, and there's no wondering why- we can't move sometimes for fear of having an ASBO slapped on us, or getting sued because someone fell over a hair that fell from your head, or similar things like it.
Me? I prefer being optimistic and chirpy but it is really difficult when everyone around me is a grump!

pessimism is reality, optimism is fantasy.

which would you pick...?

i mean, there is no point picking optimism, coz its a waste of time and it raises your hope only to be met with dissapointment...

and yeah... i'm pessimistic! it means im not often dissapointed!
