He has been sentenced to death by hanging for crimes against humanity in the 1982 killings of 148 people in a single Shiite town. Is this sufficient punishment? If not, what should the punishment (if any) be?
I'm in favor of a more brutal punishment, such as stoning. What are your thoughts?

Yes, stoning sounds really good to me, at the people of Iraq can be involved in the process of carrying out his death sentence. I would like to only see the survivors with the scars stone him though.

Even thou I feel a brutal and violent death is becoming of Saddam, I see that as he will be dying a martor and his followers will feel they have the right to be pissed at the world and want to retaliate on more innocent people. I fully agree with Jena that he should be given a life sentence and die as a martor in there years from now. Yes put the jail at the south pole for all I care as long as he has to get up every morning and feel his torture.

Death sentence depends upon the country in which the trial was held. I am sure they have valid evidence , beyond reasonable doubt to sentence him. But for me, lifetime imprisonment would be more difficult because each day would like be a torture for him, especially if he is denied visitation rights and the amenities of technology and modern living and is forced to do hard labor.

Is it still done there? I think, perhaps it would be far more appropriate a punishment if it is still an accepted cultural punishment.

I think that he should be hanged, drawn and quartered and pissed on, not necessarily in that order.

i know he had a lot of people tortured & killed maybe we can see whatr methods he used & do that to him
