I have a some male & female penpals from USA (lovely people) but they all thought it was 'odd' when they learnt that I get changed & will shower will my male buddies. Also that when I visit my friends in Netherlands & France we all get changed & shower before going out or go swimming sauna naked together. (Nothing sexual what so ever, I have a boyfriend just to make this clear!) The folks from USA thought it was odd at our 'European' behaviour. I had my friends visit from the states. The american girls would change shower with us but the boys wouldn't. They got all emabarrsed when the girls sunbathed topless. Why is this ? I find general American outlook on this strange. Anybody else found this ?

To 'I am Muslim' I have no desire to insult you or your religion, but your answer scares me. Are you starting from the premise that all men are rapists ? That is most certainly not true. My question has nothing to do with any religion or 'rape' or 'sex' & I don't wish to continue the religious debate because religion is the basis or reason or exuse for a lot of the troubles, evil & death in this world. Please could people concentrate on my question, not religion. Thanks xx

Well I do think its not ordinary. woman should not be naked around other men besides their husbands. And the men were embarrassed because the woman were naked. The only thing on mens mind half the time is sex. That is in their nature. why would you shower with a bunch of other men anyway? Do you wanna get raped? I dont mean to sound rude or anything, im just wondering.

A lot of us Americans are brought up to be modest from birth. We're taught that being seen naked past a certain age will bring on 'bad things' like sex and we're supposed to save ourselves for marriage.
I always thought that being so open about nudity was strange, but different strokes for different folks.
You were brought up being taught that there's nothing wrong with it, and for you, that's fine. We're brought up that it's wrong and that's where we're stuck. lol To us, nudity means sex, and that's something better left for the privacy of the home.
I've seen women breast feeding in public and doing it discretely with a little blanket over their chest to cover themselves, be told not to do that because it's rude and indecent. I don't think it is, I'd rather see that than have a hungry child crying while I'm trying to enjoy dinner.

And, what if one in each and every of those > we are all ladies < replaced into later got here upon to be a Lesbian ! Getting replaced in front of Male friends ! I genuinely have completed, even though it relies upon on the context or circumstances and to no count number if that is suited or in any different case on the time and place. even with being 'disabled', in some techniques I have not have been given any difficulty with nudity (having been an artwork student and Masseur), yet I do have difficulty is another factors (none sexual) to do with my actual incapacity. that is complicated and so complicated to describe (even to myself). Sash.

As a long time nudist/naturist I believe that society would be much better if people did lost their hang-ups about non-sexual, mixed nudity. Once you've seen someone naked there's no big deal about how they look and because you've got no barrier to hide behind, i.e., your clothes, people tend to be much more relaxed and at ease with each other.

Us Americans are strange. We didn't grow up that way. This country, for one is breast obsessed. We are taught from a very young age that we have private parts and that no one else should have anything to do with them. The only explanation I have. Sorry.
