I need urgent help for my project on tessellating polygons tomorrow. I was supposed to write a one page conclusion on "which polygons tessellate the plane on their own and which do not? explain why." As I already knew about regular polygons, I only need about irregular polygons.. Thanx so much for your help, pls hurry!!!

This will happen for only two irregular pentagons in general:

All triangles as the angle sum of the three angles is a straight angle so the the angles so placed will always make straight lines ... and thus tessellate

All quadrilaterals as the angle sum of the four angles is a straight angle so the the angles so placed will make a complete revolution ... and thus tessellate

Other particular polygons MAY tessellate BUT no more general cases will occur
