First and formost I am not against our continentle cousins not realy botherd what colour a persons skin is its just when i see hundreds of refugees charging around the french ports byepassing france and lots of other countrys to invade our island to milk our already overstretched benifit system as a tax paying citizen I am only concerned about my country should these people be made to contribute in some way befor they can except our benifits free dentil and hospital treatment from an over stretched NHS has to be paid for by me and you I know some of these people are genuine cases and are escaping death and violence but i live in middlesbrough and we are now swamped in young refugees who are given houses helped into work when our own folk are struggling to find jobs and places to live should we have a more stricked system in place which is more harder to abuse

This seems to be a problem with all peoples who live in a free society. We try to help the poor to the point that the ones who actually need the help are passed over and help is given those who are the chronic poor who have no intention of working for a living. Maybe someday our politicians will get their heads out of their rear ends and realize this. Since the politicians don't actually live in the real world, they cannot see the difference between these people and the real needs of those who need our help. We have those who would not work no matter what because they have been given all their life and now think the working people owe them something. Here in America we have exactly the same problems. We need government work farms where these people need to learn to work or starve...

I think you'll find that these desperate people are told that the UK is a wonderful place to live with lots of jobs, houses a better standard of living. The land of Milk & honey. The scrupulous people who take all their money to get them into UK tell them these lies and they ignorately believe them. I think you'll find the few who get in are bitterly disappointed when they arrive, but what can they do, they have no money they gave every penny they had to these people to get to Britain. The people you see trying to get into Britain are illegal immigrants and if caught get sent back, so they live here illegally and usually have to work for scrupulous employers who pay them peanuts. The ones that are you are speaking of are getting in as fleeing refugees (their lives are in danger) of course, there are always some that will lie, and these I think are the ones that Milk the system. Our European cousins come to Britain to take up the jobs no one else wants so are probably not claiming. I do think it is hard for Britain as we are only a little Island and yes we are getting overswamped. Something has to be done soon, don't know what though.

the main situation with reward is that there basically are not sufficient human beings to look at and evaluate circumstances, human beings can declare for all varieties and not be caught because of the fact there is not any one to make certain. nevertheless, it relatively is peanuts to stay off of, this is why maximum of persons take up jobs on the side. Take ill pay case in point: £80 a week does no longer conceal my grocery invoice, nevermind water, electric powered, gas, tax, and lease. regardless of if it relatively is greater suitable than what that they had in the event that they're refugees, and a damn sight greater suitable than what the states might provide you... over there you sink or swim. What amazes me is how common this is for persons to declare reward and basically shop going. i've got have been given 3 pals that get on my nerves for this; all declare reward and none have maintained a job for greater suitable than 6 months. One has a mushy form of Aspergers, which curiously ability she would not ought to artwork, yet another won't be in a position to get a job because of the fact he appears like a hobo, and the different gets £ninety a week because of the fact - get this - he's afraid to artwork! How stupid is a gadget the place they actually enable that?

Yes, we are a target. I have no problem with genuine refugees, but the majority seem to be young blokes with no family. They seem to spend their time gathering outside Grange Rd post-office (You know where that is !) then it's on to the Cleveland Mall, where they stand outside eyeing the very young lasses up. Meanwhile, all the women and kids are being tortured and killed in their own countries and haven't got a cat in hell chance of getting out. They're the ones who need refuge, not the smarmy young lads who claim refuge. I know where you're coming from, see it everyday cos I'm a Boro lass

I'm writing in answer to [ mr sceptic. ] let me tell you that when these so called skilled clinicians come over here, they have to be taught from scratch. They get in by saying they are nurses and dr's and such, then we have the privilege of paying for them to learn. Then you say we benefit without paying. Are you nuts? WE HAVE BEEN PAYING ALL OUR LIVES THROUGH OUR NOSES WITH TAXES. Plus if the government hadn't sold our country off, our own youths would have work to go to.

yea it really annoys me because at 1 point i was denied a medication i needed to actually be able to move for over a year because the NHS could not afford the funding and certainly couldnt afford £8.000 a year and i couldnt even get out of bed and relyed on others to help me so obviously i cudnt work to pay for it and if i cud have i wud have whereas even if they can work to afford things they wud rather sponge of the people who do work and they are better off that way because the government make it so easy!

Partly yes, but only in so far as they see all the dole scrounging layabouts we've become so adept at producing on our own and think "hey, I want a piece of that!"
Time to rethink the benefit system I think.... I don't want my tax paying for workshy people from HERE or ABROAD, there is no difference in my eyes.

Bloody hell! Have you ever heard of full stops and capital letters - they make reading a long piece very much easier.

Immigration has its problems and you raise some real issues, but too much of your argument depends on misinformation and half-truths.

Most (I accept, not all) refugees do not want to come here to milk our benefits. Just ask people on benefits - it's a crap life. They want to work and contribute to our economy and pay tax, same as you and I. Indeed, many of them have skills which we can use, and which this country hasn't had to pay to develop.

People in this country who can't find jobs tend to be poorly educated, inflexible and in some cases lazy. Far easier to blame the immigrants for taking all the jobs than to make any effort to better yourself.

The NHS depends on immigrant labour to survive. Remove all immigrants and you might reduce demand for NHS services by about 2%, but you will reduce the number of skilled clinicians by over 30%. It's hypocrisy to say immigrants can't use our NHS but can work in it. And remember, our taxes haven't paid for the education of these immigrant doctors and nurses. We benefit without paying!
