We go to a private anglican girls school.
I have known her for a year.
we tell each other everything.
we have one other very close friend who may be hurt if we got together.
we are both 16.
if it was to go sour could we go back to how things were before?
would she hate me?
not many people at school know we are gay.

Okay i was just in this situation. I love my friend and we have been friends for a while. I mean we have fooled around and stuff and I fell for him I mean really fell. However he didnt feel the same for me he just kind wanted to do stuff. It made me mad about the whole situation I mean if you do try and go for stuff like this make sure your friend is feeling the same way torwards you. Dont pressure anything make sure it is the right thing to do for the both of you analyze the situation and if you decide you should just be friends that is great.

Starting the relationship may force a decision with coming out of the closet which might make the other person feel compromised, especially if they aren't ready yet.
If the close friend gets hurt because of your relationship status with another friend, should that even be your friend?
Age means nothing when you speak of love.
Going sour and remaining friends? Very hard to say, it's a problem that just about everybody has. Absolutely no answer to it.
Try talking it over with her and see if she hates you.

Talk about it and be honest with her before taking a big plunge on the bed. If she says NO then respect her decision and look for someone who will accept you.You dont have to let the whole world know you are gay and dont owe someone an explanation.

No one can give you an exact answer unfortunately, it is all up to you, way the situation, and you will find out if it is worth a relationship, if you want to go out with her, make sure it is love and it will last for ever, make sure it isn't just lust, if not don't compromise the relationship. Never stand in the way of love, love is too great, good luck with your choice, live life with love...

well you could try...but it's pretty hard to turn back and pretend nothing has happened with sex..if it has happened...Sex changes a relationship ( or can change it) dramatically...How hurt would this "close" friend be? How would it affect the 2 of you? You're not telling the whole story here.

you will still be in school with both girls if things go sour between you and that would be very hard because yes the relationship would be forever changed and it could not go back to the way it was sorry honey.

At your age and in your situation, I wouldn't risk it. Be best friends, but keep the relationship on that level until you are closer to ending school. If you still want to at that age, then go for it. Its easy to find sex, its darn hard work to find a good friend.

It's a possibility that it could ruin your friendship. So, you need to ask yourself, "Is it WORTH it?"
