whoever takes over needs a big clearout i dont think ericsson is the man for the job he is similar in nature to glen roeder, you need someone to stamp there authority and sort all these skivers out once and for all, some of the players there have good potential but they realise newcastle are a soft touch and can get top wages for doing nothing and lets face it no one looks a gift horse in the mouth

I do not think for one minute that Sven will take over. I do not think that many Newcastle fans would want that. It must be a very difficult club to manage as expectations are so high. They have been very unlucky with injuries especially to their forwards and any team would suffer in these circumstances. One of the problems is that they are not scoring enough goals and the defence always looks likely to concede.They have always had money to spend on players and therefore the chairman and successive managers have made some very bad decisions. I cannot think of an available manager who could make a go of the job especially in the short term. Have a good clear out and start again.

God I hope not....Newcastle sacked Bobby Robson...and they've floundered ever since.bad msanagers choose a good one and you'll see. Don't touch Eriksson wit h a barge pole
