When are Boro going to ditch that life long loser Southgate and get some players with pride in the club? Yesterday's performance was spineless cr*p!

Totally agree. I never understood how Southgate all of a sudden took over from where McLaren left off? I mean, McLaren went from Derby, to United, learnt tons under the wing of Fergie, was part of the coaching staff that helped guide the team through the Treble of 99. WHAT has Southgate ever done, apart from miss a crucial penalty for England and make a Pizza Hut ad on the back of it? Very strange for him to be a coach!

In a Schadenfreude kind of way, I'm v pleased Boro put in a spineless performance - I support Watford and we got our first win of the season. I don't think Gareth Southgate is the problem. When a new manager comes in, there can often be an upheaval time as people get used to his new ways of doing things. The players need to look themselves in the eye and pull their socks up. There are a number of them claiming big wages but not putting in performances to match.

I'm sorry to say that I totally agree with you. Too many players are playing for their wages,not their club. Pride and passion seems to be a thing of the past.

i think boro should just find someone with a liltle bit of experience in terms of management if they want to avoid going to the championship and also try to bolster they squad as well in the january transfer window
