what actually happened to kurt cobain? i know its a daft question but there is so many stories about his death im not sure what the truth is thanks for your help xxxxxx

Well, the official story is that he shot himself in the head with a shotgun after supposedly pumping himself full of heroin.

There are theories (which i just happen to believe) that he was murdered. If you watch the documentary 'Kurt and Courtney', it gives you a pretty good idea of what could have (or in my opinion: what did) happen. The theory in there goes that Courtney Love hired a "hitman" to murder Kurt.

There are also discrepancies with his suicide note. It still hasn't been established that he wrote the entire thing himself. One half of the note is in his handwriting while the other isn't exactly.

It's also been theorized that if he had in fact pumped himself full of so much drugs (the exact amount eludes me at this moment) he would not have been able to move, let alone pick up and operate a shotgun.

So yeah, like Michael Hutchence's death, there is the official story on the one hand and the theory on the other.

I prefer the theory that he was murdered though, the man had too much going for himself to commit suicide (and he loved Francis too much). Might just be me though.

Well I got the book "Un amor del altro mondo", something like a tribute book from an author whose nickname is Tomazo Pinchio. This author describes amazingly the life of Kurt Cobain, things that happened in reality, but in his book he writes that everything, even the names and the places are fake!
This is kinda weird cause he appears to now many obscure things. And who knows the life of Kurt Cobain better than himself?
Also, this author is considered as a mystery himself..
I don`t know sometimes I think Kurt is hiding somewhere with another identity...
Think, why there aren`t any pictures of him dead? I`ve searched every site but none of the pictures is clear. And you can`t see his face in those.
But, who knows? I mean the only thing we can do is suppose this and that and so on....

Kurt Cobain is my biggest hero, I idolise him and I believe that he shot himself in his own home, in the garage, because he didn't want to get blood all over the carpet. Kurt left a suicide note addressed to Courtney and Frances [his daughter]. He was having an unhappy life and was at the time under the influence of drugs and drink. Or the other theory is that Courtney Love, his wife, hired a hitman, who has spoken on tv/magazines/press and stated more than once that Courtney offered him a large sum of money and asked him "If I give you [however many dollars] will you kill my husband for me?" that's my belief, thanks.
I still think he killed himself.

Hey Vixon, Kurt shot him self in the head, he left a suicide note quoting Neil Youngs classic " Hey Hey my my" (Its better to burn out than to fade away). He rocked.

I dont think he killed himself, simply because he was pumped full of so many drugs that he couldn't of even picked up a gun. Let alone stuck it in his mouth and fired it. I think Courtney Love bumped him off.
