Adi Shankaracharya did "Khandan Mandan" (defeating every other religious authorities of his time including Hindu and Buddist scholars in arguments, debates and verbal challenges of knowlege) and was victorious in his tasks. He established 4 to 5 Mathas (Big Monastories) in 4 corners (and center) of the ancient India. Some even say he even drew Buddhism out of India but this is debatable though.
But he has completely lost the spiritual game (see today).
What is the reason ?
1. "Khandan Mandan" is not a good way to promote spirituality
It is too aggressive and not in harmony with the spirit of any religion itself
2. His philosophy was not supported by traditional ancient Indian philosophies - (Whose rightness stands even today despite Adi Shankara and others !!!). Thus his philosophy itself is with faults !
3. He had no compassion or consideration and respect for other faiths like for example Buddhism
4. Othre reason(s) - Please elaborate
What do you think ?

Respected Brahmanda,
I have only one statement to make as an answer to your questions :
"Dear Brahmanda your knowledge including that of Buddhism as well as Advita philosophy itself is basically incomplete".
