Adi Shankaracharya did "Khandan Mandan" (defeating every other religious authorities of his time including Hindu and Buddist scholars in arguments, debates and verbal challenges of knowlege) and was victorious in his tasks. He established 4 to 5 Mathas (Big Monastories) in 4 corners (and center) of the ancient India. Some even say he even drew Buddhism out of India but this is debatable though.

But he has completely lost the spiritual game (see today).
What is the reason ?
1. "Khandan Mandan" is not a good way to promote spirituality
It is too aggressive and not in harmony with the spirit of any religion itself
2. His philosophy was not supported by traditional ancient Indian philosophies - (Whose rightness stands even today despite Adi Shankara and others !!!). Thus his philosophy itself is with faults !
3. He had no compassion or consideration and respect for other faiths like for example Buddhism
4. Othre reason(s) - Please elaborate

What do you think ?

Respected Brahmanda,

I have only one statement to make as an answer to your questions :

"Dear Brahmanda your knowledge including that of Buddhism as well as Advita philosophy itself is basically incomplete".

I think you have not understood Adi shankaracharya and his life and work.
I do not want to elaborate on this aspect because all the things he preached are very much in practise even today allover India and all the 4 peethas established by him are also having the peethadhi patis. Go to Allahabad sangam and on the bank of Ganges there is a temple built by shankara mutt. there you will find the list and tenure of every single acharya who manned the peethas from the time adi shankara established them.
He is the first one to spread advaita principle which means God is one and is known as brahman.
he gave 6 worships
Ganapatya or ganpathy worship most famous in maharashtra
Saiva;- Practiced all over india
Sakta Worship of shakti as mother durga(Bengal and Assam)
Kaumara :- most temples in Tamil nadu
Vaishnava :- All over India
Advaita :- Ekam Brahmam.
Adi Shankara entered into debate with buddhists and refuted their contentions successfully. People accepted his victory and acknow ledged him.
Even now i can ask a question for which buddhists may not be able to reply
Buddha never talked about worldly man and his life, marriage, family burden, etc. He preache only renunciationas a mode of attaining Nirvana. In the world man and woman will not enter niravana just like that. so what is the alternative for them?
