we have had 1agent at our home he made us an offer said we have nothing to pay but we have nothing in writing would be grateful to here if anybody had any experence of this.

I agree with Madison. They make money based on your demise, ie the house is theres when you pass away. And if they can give you nothing in writing it sounds suspicious.
A few ideas if money is tight
Why not move somewhere smaller?
Why not rent a room out (can earn over £4000 per year tax fee), thak your time and I am sure a nice suitable person might be out there.

i personally would not touch it with a barge pole....you stand the risk of losing your home for good they can put up the rent until you no longer can afford it lots of conditions etc like if one of you dies the other could be put out on the street or in a old folks home...go and get professional advice before even contemplating this move

I would get more advice, try citizen's advice it's free. get everythig in writing, look for a solicitor that gives a free half hour, good luck
