EXPENSIVE! I travelled to Norway twice and stayed there for a couple of weeks during each trip and for some reason food was the item that always slaughtered my budget. I once ate in burger king and I paid the equivalent of $60 for a combo meal + ice cream. Fancy restaurant expect a bill of $200+ per person exlucing the alcohol. Beer is a bit expensive around $15 in pubs, never tried to buy them retail.

I went to my friends small town in Norway and I could not believe how expensive it was. We got take out chinese one night and it cost me about $40 US for a serving of sweet and sour pork, fried rice, and deep fried prawns. Drinking I can't remember exactly but it was quite expensive. It is one of the most expensive places I have ever been. Beautiful country though. I also live in Copenhagen now so when I say it is expensive I mean it, Copenhagen is cheep in comparison.
