I have a Trust WB-3400T Webcam. The video quality is horendous, surely its not supposed to be like this. If it is, its not fit for its purpose. The picture is reall fuzzy and not focussed at all. You can bearly make out a face. Is there a setting i need to play with. The 'quality' bar is on maximun.

Always make sure that the light is behind the camera, else the auto-exposure will close down, giving you a rubbish result. To cut the jerkiness you may be able to increase the frame rate on setup. Also go to 'Properties' and shift the 'Gamma' this may help.

Try adjusting the focus by turning the rim around the lens if your cam has a rim.

The quality isn't very good because its a web-cam they havn't got thousands or gadgets on them, they were built for only one purpose, to show a picture!

most webcams have a twisting bezel on the front around the lens, if it has then turn it either way till the focus comes in :-)

If you paid around 20 bucks for it, expect it to be crappy and grainy. If you paid about 70 bucks, it should be nice a clear, if it isnt, take it back.
