A product is the answer to a multiplication sum.
So you must have two or more numbers to find the product of them.
The product of 84 and 2
=84 x 2
= 168
Another example, the product of 3, 4 and 5
= 3x 4x 5
= 60

The product is what you get when you multiply two numbers, so 84 could be the product of 42 and 2.

It is a confusing word isn't it. It is tempting to think that it is the answer you get when you add two or more numbers together but that is called the SUM.
A PRODUCT is the answer you get when you multiply two or more numbers together. Think 'multiply is to produce.'
