If you have what you think is a hopeless life and you are unhappy, then I am willing to bet anything that it's your doing. Life is what you make it - not anyone else. If you decide you are going to have a hopeless life, that is what is going to happen. If you decide you are going to be unhappy, that is what is going to happen. In other words, it is purely a matter of deciding. Why not decide to live a useful, productive and enjoyable life, filled with happiness, no matter what? You might just be pleasantly surprised! And whatever happens, please, don't ever contemplate suicide. Your life is a sacred, God-given gift, and it is not for you to end it, but to live it to the fullest. I hope I have been of some help. Go well, and God Bless!

It is about outlook..I believe that every cloud has a silver lining. Only we can make our own life hopeless. Only you can make yourself happy. First you have to ask yourself what will make you happy. But be reasonable, we would all like to win the lottery. Right now I am going through some really bad times, and I cannot see a light at the end of the tunnel, but I stopped looking for the light at the end of the tunnel, instead I started looking for a spark in the middle of the tunnel.. :) No matter how bad things are, look at the positive and build on that. My dad is dying right now, we don't know if we have an hour, a day, a week, but he has already surpassed the life expectancy given by the doctor. We believe it is because he has never given up hope. Once you give up hope, you have nothing. Look around you, there is always someone who has it worse off. In my situation, it could be worse, my dad could have died suddenly, and all of us kids would never have had the chance to tell him what we think and feel. There will be no regrets, no 'I should have's. Focus on the positives, not the negatives... things will change..

First try to figure out why you life seems hopeless to you. If you are bored, try to find something that makes you happy. Be with friends, get out and see/do some things that you would find interesting. Get a hobby or volunteer in a pediatrics unit in a hospital or a rest home. The feeling of helping someone is indescribably wonderful. You did not indicate why you are unhappy. Make a list of things going on in your life that makes you unhappy and next to the list of things, write down the remedy that you think would correct this, then work on the remedies. There is some good out there in the world. Sometimes you have to search for those good things. Sometimes it seems as though we all feel hopeless and unhappy, but if you look deep enough, you can find some form of happiness, a reason to be thankful and a reason to live. Sometimes we can make our lives miserable by not letting go of some of the things that make us miserable. You can only answer that question. I use to live a misable life, full of unhappiness and the feeling of total loss, however I found that I was the main cause of all my unhappiness by not letting go of some of the things in my past that I had the choice to either let it go or letting it eat at me. Since the day I decided to let all my past go and look toward the future, I have been much happier. I wish you the best of luck and if you ever need someone to talk to feel free to email me. Take care!!

You are depressed. See a Psyc. Doc. there is help out there. Plus pray about it. YOUR NOT ALONE! If you attend church talk to your minister. I can give you this advice because I have been where you are. Don't self medicate.
