imagination stays along with u for life but knowledge may fade when u get older and ur memory starts decreasing.
u dont need to learn to imagine but u need to learn to acquire knowledge.
imagination is like a moon in the sky, its always there but u cannot see it during the day and knowledge is like sun it gives light and comes only once in a day.

Imagine a 'world without knowledge'. It would look like a automobile without wheels. Imagination is the platform on top which knowledge is built. How much imagination it would have been taken for the Wright brothers to pave the way for the invention of an aeroplane? Imagination precedes in everything where knowledge is much tried upon. Have imagination and the knowledge automatically will follow you.

It is like saying that action is more important than thinking! How do you act? Think first and then act. If you act without thinking you know the consequences.
Imagination propels one to seek knowledge. When the primitives were hitting the stones together some sparks were coming . One imagined that the spark could be collected and used to scare away the animals. Knowledge was born.
Imagination and knowledge go hand in hand . Equally important.

One of my favorite quotes. Einstein knew what he was talking about here. Imagination fuels the world. Without it, nothing would have moved forward because without imagination, there would be no invention. In order to advance a civilization, your technology must also advance along with the people. And technology is all created by the dreamers of life. The ones who sit and wonder WHAT IF.....
The artists who draw the future. Look at Michaelangelo. Take a peek at his famous sketchbooks. He imagined advancements in humanity so far in the future.
Knowledge is important. But it is the dreamers that make our universe; creating the beauty, the various colors of the world, the laughter, the tears, the warmth, the smiles...the love and all the best of it all.

This is the imagination that drives knowledge. Whatever knowledge we have gained so far all were as a consequence of imagination of our great thinkers.
Without the imagination, no knowledge would have ever exist. It is thus imagination is more important than knowledge.

Imagination is the bridge between the current knowledge and future knowledge. Without the ladder of imagination, we can never scale higher knowledge. Knowledge could come merely from physical perception. But imagination takes that knowledge to a level beyond the mere senses - to a level of possibilities which is mother of invention.
Imagination has a greater power over us than knowledge, since knowledge simply connotes present truth whereas imagination implies future possibilities.
Finally, it is imagination that gives us greater pleasure, whether in love or sex or travel or food or you name it.

Knowledge without skill or power of its practical application in a given situation makes it meaningless. Imagination power helps in putting together all necessary components in right order to get the expected product in its right form and quality to serve a certain objective. Amassing knowledge is one thing but more important is to learn how to use it correctly. It is possible only with enough practice or experience is undergone. This is true as in the careers of a good doctor or a good lawer. Men with little study of architecture could build a wonderful edifice ,the Pyramid for example. .Imgination sometimes can replace knowledge but not the other way round.

to imagine you need not have knowledge coz you are free to think whatever you like for instance i can imagine going to stars or deep into earth or even i can imagine having sex with a woman without any knowledge and of course boys do it that way. any way let me come to the point, imagination is a state of mind where you concious minds leads to a state of an illussion where your thinking is beign picturized the way your mind wants it to be. for this i think there is no need for any knowledge so long as the image in the illussionary background is sweet and convincing to the imaginer.
have a nice day buddy.
