I have felt that our "War" on terror in Iraq was an invasion since they were not a threat only a belief that they were or could become one shall we fight every country that is a potential threat to America as there are many that hate us the "War on terror" should have been against the terrorist from 911 including Osama Bin laden but where is he and the others that are out there with him plotting waiting for their next chance since they know we won't come get them

Yes, I know the difference. Does our president is the question. There was the invasion of Normandy during the second world war, operation Overlord. A valid invasion in the course of a declared war. What our president did when he sent our troops to invade Iraq was an act of war, as it is anytime a country invades another country without declaring war. Saddam wanted Kuwait's oil. Bush can't find Osama, so this was a diversion to placate America after 9/11, and just like Saddam's invasion of Kuwait and George's of Iraq, many innocent people were and continue to be killed.

I think that a war is only a war when the leader of the country has declared war publicly, stated who the war is against and why.

An invasion, in my opinion, is when the armed forces have been activated by the said leader who has declared war and the invasion comes when the said armed forces enter the geographical boundaries of the other country without proper authorisation. You would need to research these further.

Good question. I still am not clear on why we are in Iraq.
Our occupation has not done much good, but we have managed to kill a lot of innocent people. Bush's war is an invasion.
War against another country might be for example...the war between England and Holland in the 1600s, or the war between
the Allied and Axis powers in WW II.
