what is the lowest temperature you can use on a thermostatically controlled water bath!!!??? please help :S?

If it has to be a WATER bath then you are limited by the freezing and boiling points of water, and the lowest you can get will also depend on whether the equipment is capable of cooling as well as heating - if not, then agree with previous answer, ambient room temperature is as low as you will get. If you have an OIL bath capable of both cooling and heating then your useable temperature range will be hugely expanded.

You can unplug it and the lowest temperature will be the temperature of the room.
