I DO believe it. The terrorists are smart enough to get on the internet and keep in touch with what is going on in the US.
I fear the Democrats will take the house, if not the senate. My only hope is that they are LIARS, and realize deep down that we face serious threats. I hope they lose, but if they do win I'd rather that they were just being cynical and stoking antiwar sentiment to get back in power, rather than being sincerely loony and wanting us to surrender.
Did you ever notice, when they criticized Bush's surveillance or other programs they NEVER said stop it immediately - and someone should have asked them point-blank if they wanted him to stop.
Whoever wins, I hope they do the best for our country. But a Democrat victory will be seen as a signal that we want to retreat. The terrorists will be emboldened. Far from saving US troops, it will result in the death of far more Americans (military AND civilian) than would have occurred if America had been united and shown them that we had the WILL to PREVAIL.
I'm so totally disgusted, I want to cry. I could live with it if the Democrats opposed Bush on everything else, but the war is not a political football.
Look at what they did to Lieberman and you know all you need to know about them.
God help us.
PS Some of the other answers you received indicate to me that people want to see BUSH as the enemy, not the terrorists. They don't believe we're at war. It's Neville Chamberlain time. I'm very discouraged . . .

Most definitely. If you remember your recent history, Bush Sr. trained, armed, and paid people like Osama bin Laden and his buddies to become terrorists against the Russians in Afghanistan. The bin Laden family and Bush family have been friends and business partners for decades. Dubbya's oil co., Arbusto Oil in Texas, had as its first benefactor investor none other that Osama's brother Salem. The terrorists benefit from Bush being in office, not the democrats. Bush has done more for the spread of Islamic Terrorism in his few years in office, than all other Presidents combined. The Terrorists need someone to be against, and Bush fills that role in spades. Killing 600,000 Iraqis in three years, is to the Arab people a form of genocide on our part. We have reduced one of the Holiest places of Islam to rubble. Young men from all over the Islamic World are volunteering to join the fight against us. Consider the possibility that the quote you refer to is propaganda, not by Bush, but by the Arabs, they certainly can do it as well as we can. Nothing would help their cause more than many more years of this kind of policy coming out of Washington.
