Because most of the Yaoi fans consists of girls. Shocking as it is that there are more of Yaoi fangirls *and some boys* than there are of yuri fanboys *and some girls*. My reason to this matter is that Japan has had a long history of man love. Back in the old samurai eras. It wasnt scary to love a man in japan. And up to this day it's the same. Except that Japan like to shout it out in entertainment form such as anime and manga *mostly doujinshi*. And it has attracted more ladies towards it than men. Now, im not into yaoi. Im just explaining my reason on why through plain observation.
