well i know that a lot of people will order wrong on perpose just so they can come back and try and get free food. or people will complain about silly things. like the lady that started screaming because she diddnt get a straw with her milk. we generally dont give straws with milk. but anyway you look at it there will always be customers that just have had a bad day and are looking for a punching bag. they dont realize just how hard most of the fast food employees work and how under paid they are. look at it this way. for every rude and ignorant customer youll find 10 nice pleasant ones....its hard to let go what seems to be a personal vendetta. its not fair to have to leave your job and feel badly because some rude person hurt your feelings...i know...ive been there more than once...just let it go and think about the nice customers ok.:)

The worst experience I have had working fast food would be the time I worked at subway. It was during the dinner rush and we were packed, I was doing my best to keep the line moving but there was only 3 of us working so it took a little longer to serve each customer. Well all was well with everybody except this construction looking dude in the back. He kept talking under his breath and exhaling loudly to show his impatience. By the time we had gotten to him he was outraged for whatever reason and decided he was going to talk $**T the whole time we served him. When he got to the cashier he tried talking us out of charging him for his sandwich for the poor service he had gotten, but we told him no. This set him off he started yelling at one of my buddies and then walked out. He came back a few minutes later and decided he wanted his sandwich, but by this time we had served a few more people so the cashier gave the sandwich she thought was his to him and charged him for the meal. He went to sit down and realized that it was the wrong sandwich and hurled it at my buddy calling him "THE N WORD" and everything else between. Needless to say it was on, all out brawl right there in the store. ***-n-teeth everywhere, the police came and arrested him for a number of charges.

i work at an old-fashioned ice cream parlor currently and some pople are SO RUDE! one time i was making an original hot carmel sundae, i had just put one scoop in a dish (takes out one second) and acidentally put butterscoth instead of carmel. i noticed right away and didn't think anything of it, since the cups and ice creamand the carmel/butterscoth toppings are right by each other. i quick dipped another one and put carmel on it, thinking nothing about my mistake, and when i gave it to the lady ( a middle aged prissy mom) she asked me if it was my first day!!!!! and i was like uhhh no actually i've been here for about five months and i do a pretty good job! shes like oh well it seems like you make a lot of mistakes....but me and my big mouth i didn't want to start anything so i just asked her if she needed anything else and she wanted to cones, both strawberry on plain cones. just to show her how smart i was, i quickly opened up the strawberry cabnit (our ice cream place is famous for having no labels on the ice cream cabnets and the customers like to see that all the employees have them memorized) and dipped two perfect stawberry cones. when i gave them to the ladie, she said that one of them was slightly shorter then the other and they had to be the exact same in apperance since her daughters were twins 9 i look at them wearing the same outfits, of course) i went back and bassically just smoosed down the taller one a little bit and they were fine. i don't really know how else to explain it but some people just have no common courtesy! i also happen to know that i am one of the friendliest, most efficient employees there and customers really like me! i try to make it a point to be friendly and outgoing, and you can tell becuase whenever me and the other employees compare how many tips we got that evening i am always in the lead my at least $10! so first day my @$$!

My worst experience in fast food was when I worked at Subway years and years ago. A lady came in and ordered a salad and I made it for her. She paid for it, left, and about ten minutes later she came back with the half eaten salad and demanded a refund because she had found a hair in it. She held up the hair, a black curly hair about two inches long. I had brownish red hair down to my waist and my co-worker had long blonde hair. (Of course our hair was pulled back and braided.) The customer, on the other hand, had short black curly hair, so it was obviously her own hair. But she yelled at me and my co-worker that we needed to cut our hair or put it in a hair net. And she threatened to call the Health Department on us. We finally just gave her a refund just to get her out of the restaurant.

when you are behind the counter and there is a long line of customers waiting, your manager is glaring at you and your co workers. and some snooty rich lady is sitting down in the restaurant, and snaps her fingers for you to actually leave the counter and come over to personally serve her and you know who she is and she wouldnt stoop to even tipping any personal service.. You cant dare say anything negative since your boss is standing right there... and all the other customers are glarring wanting you to get their orders as quickly as possible.. .. or some little kid takes a drink or bite out of his burger and yells it doesnt taste right and the mother asks you to exchange it for them (FREE) kids are notoriously picky eaters. .. or you are a waitress and you have your own set of tables. and there is one old bat customer that always frequents your work station and she is from the stone age and thinks her "dime" tip is being overly generous to you and your $2.50 wages as a waitress (since you basically survive on tips) I can go on and on

I had this VERY picky customer that insisted that her shakes only be made while at the window. I had to remake it three times. Then she insisted her hamburger be remade twice. I started crying because she got me so upset. It was horrible. I haven't seen her again.

Due to a computer error, we accidentally gave a customer twice his order without charging him for it. For some unknown reason this really pissed him off.
