Smoking will never be completely banned due to the amount of revenue that it brings in to governments. We all know now that smoking can kill us, cancer is not a scare tactic, it is true... but the government will ban something almost immediately if they fear there may be a slight health risk with something!!!
They know smoking kills... period... yet they don't ban it !! Yes it's definately down to the billions of £ or $ they gain from it.
Luckily for me I gave up smoking when I reached 10... lol... I was 21 really and I am really happy to have quit the habbit. Not only was it expensive and dangerous, people who smoke don't realise that they stink !! I am not trying to be cruel here, it's just the way it is... Try going out to a club where smoking is allowed or a heavily smoke filled pub, put your clothese afterwards in a sealed box and go to sleep. Next morning take a whiff of the clothes.... urgh...
Rant over.... quick quote from me "They make Billions every year"
Charlie (The smoke free zone)

The government will lose a sh*t load of money....why else do you think they are trying to impose new taxes like the green tax, and pay per mile. They have to plug the gap somewhere.....but to take it out on the motorist again? that's crap and they know it....it is time to storm parliament to let them get the message..It's getting to the stage where we are all working for nothing because all our hard earned cash goes in taxes......quite ironic that they DO nothing yet get as much money as they want to award themselves, and if they can't make ends meet then take 1,000's in expenses.

Hi, that's a good question....I can only say I know it is plenty!!!
and the more smokers that quit will make the tax on them go higher.....if everyone quit ...they would lose a lot of revenue!
