I say put up your decorations whenever YOU feel like it. As long as you don't hurt anyone/thing, who cares what other people think?? My mom's tree has been up constantly for the past 5 years (bought the tree from her friend, the box was coming apart and she hand-crochets her ornaments)... it's a nice soft light to relax by at night.

It's tradition in our household to put up the Christmas decorations on my mom's birthday (Nov 18). I have a lot of work to do before that this year (recently remodeling the house and dog-sitting over Thanksgiving, yikes!).

I HAVE stocked up on Christmas-y candles though. Cranberry-Mandarin (from Wal-Mart...it's EXCELENT!), Sugar Cookie (Yum-Yum!) and Hot Fudge Brownie (hmmm!) Still need votives and pillars for my sconces and chimnea.

Have fun whenever you do put up your decorations!

No. They're Christmas decorations, not beginning of November decorations.

Not yet... hoping to do it right after Thanksgiving. I'm going to Cleveland for the "Christmas Story" open house, and I know that will put me in the mood!

The tree and it's trimmings is not until after turkey day however everything is slowly coming out. If i waited until after turkey day to decorate everything xmas would have come and gone and I would still be decorating.

no because its too early and i am moving to make a better life. Have you got yours up yet? The earliest i have done it on 25th November years ago when my children were at home and we were all down because my ex had lost his job just before.. it cheered us all up. Till we got the leccy bill after christmas.. lol

kind regards

If you wanna love, go for it! The build up to Christmas is the best bit. Kids will love it so if you wanna do listen to any of these old Scrooges. The earlier; the better!

WHAT!!!! Oh give me a break. I've seen it all in the shops and whilst I love Christmas, I shan't put up anything until Christmas Eve.
