Why do men (or women) go out and cheat on thier spouce when they have been married for 25 - 30 years and are happy?! and why do they lie to thier spoce about it even if the spouce suspects that someting is going on and asks the cheating spouce?!
And as the children stuck in the middle, how do we tell our parent (the one who is cheated on) that the other is cheating on them? or should we not?
PLEASE HELP!!

Most times you never find out from your cheating partner the real reason that they decided to cheat on you. Once they have cheated on you you are better off without them because it is always in the back of your mind will they do it again if the chance arose.

Generally, it's because people rarely find one partner who is able to meet all of their needs. One can easily understand the logic of seeing someone else to meet an unfulfilled need, and not telling the first partner because of not wanting to lose them (or wanting to avoid the trouble and hassles the breakup would cause). A completely disgusting practice, though, and a lousy position to put the kids in!
If someone was going to tell one parent about the other ones antics however, they need to ask themself if they want to handle the disruption it would cause. Ask yourself also if the cheated-on spouse would really be happier knowing for sure. If they are the kind of person who values honesty a lot and you know they would rather walk out than live a lie, then tell them.

I would go to the cheating parent, with evidence. Happily married people who cheat..that is weird. My guess is the cheater is not truly happy. It may seem like it because they are you parents, but when alone, there is no interest in each other.

It is not your place to tell them for starters. As hard as that may be. Without judging and it is hard not to, obviously the cheater felt there was something missing or lacking in their marriage.
Been there done that, my parents divorced after 34 years of marriage.

they do it because of that the grass might be greener on teh other side..bordom...if they were really happy they wouldnt go outside teh marriage and as for the kids speaking up and saying something do you really want teh stigma of my parents split up and its because of me hanging over their head?
