Number 1, you MUST get a voice over demo. This will cost you about £300 and should involve a whole day in a studio recording different scripted pieces which show different tones to your voice, so you'd have a comedy piece, a sensual piece, an official sounding piece, as many different things as you can.

NB. Do not waste your money on a VO Demo unless your voice is of a good enough standard. Many people think it's easy just getting paid for talking, it is NOT that simple! I suggest you do some classes first, check out your local Actors Centre for classes.

Once you have a demo, you have to send it to companies who make the shows you are interest in and production companies who may be making new shows. You will get names and addresses in Contacts and/or Voice Over Contacts. Also, if your demo recordist is any good, they will give you loads of advice at the session.

It's not an easy business, there is a lot of competition, but if you go about it the right way and act and present yourself professionally, you can do well.

Get an agent is the best way. Otherwise just search cartoon companies for auditions.
