The best adverts on TV! It's Irish actress Dervla Kirwan, who as well as starring in Ballykissangel and 55 Degrees North, also starred in the first couple of series of Goodnight Sweetheart alongside Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney from Only Fools and Horses). Her big break came in the TV adaptation of Melvyn Bragg's novel, A Time To Dance, in which she played a young girl having an affair with a much older man, and which contained some pretty close-to-the-edge sex scenes, which she apparently now regrets.
Her Irish name Dervla means "Daughter of the Poet" or "True Desire".
