I'm sure it did, although the good thing is that you weren't drowning, you were swimming through it, but you are finding it difficult and what's happening at the moment is surrounding you with doubts - hence the dirty water! To clear it I thin you need to realise that a difference of opinion is healthy in a relationship and if your boyfriend can't see that then he wants a doormat and thats not right - good luck sorting it out!
