You can't restore it without a restore disk. However, you can try calling them and giving them the seriel number. They might replace the restore disk for free or for cheap. Otherwise you need to purchase Windows, which is coming out with a new operating system in January, and purchasing any programs you want. You might be better off buying a new computer. If you don't care about getting the newest version of windows you might get a great deal right now. Computer retailers are worried that they won't be able to sell any computers for Christmas with the operating system being outdated a month later, so they will be very motivated to make a deal.

If we speak about win Xp restore, you must check to see if it has logo sticker on PC - if it has you will have real serial number - just read carefully what is written - OEM Edition or Retail. In this case you go and download from somewhere Xp /OEM or Retail or Corporate/ without serial included :) and burn it on CD. When installation starts it will ask for serial number - you write you own from sticker - that's all you need to start windows restore. Warning! - additional software and drivers are not included in XP install disk - for them you will need restore or program disks with software. In this case call your provider of PC and ask them.
