and your not really sure they heard it or even knew it was coming from your booty...but you are absolutly positive they smell it...do you say excuse me or do you play it off like it is someone else?

i'd fess up quickly and excuse myself. Those with maturity and tolerance will just breathe shallow and move on without saying a word. Just like if someone with bad breath talks into you. You wouldn't tell them, "You have bad breath!" You'd just move away enough to avoid it.

i never accidentally pass gas.i always do it on purpose to see the reaction & i always be polite about the excuse me bit

I would say excuse me and they will know for what ,if they smelled it ,if they didn't excuses never need to be explained
