The caring part of my nature makes me pessimistci....I care too much! For example, if someone upsets me, I get angry with them. This anger then festers and makes me annihilistic. All of the negatives come to the surface. I think to myself: thats it I'm never going to speak to them again. I'm never going to forgive them. I have lost the friendship for good...and so on. I studied psychology at university, and it is a really fascinating subject which has taught me many things in my own life. The mind is a very powerful thing, and you can re-program it. I have learnt to be more optimistic, and therefore it has improved my quality of life. I could go on for ages on this subject but, there you go. Hope this answers your question. :o)

The fact that at the end of the day, I am the one responsible for nearly everything in the way life is for me.
If I get hurt, it's because I choose to.
If I get annoyed, or angry, or upset, or restless, or all these things, most of the time it's not because something terrible had happened, but because that's the way I handle things.
And once I know that it's my choice to make, if I didn't make it, I've got only myself to blame.

The only thing is, that it's a lot of hard work, and demands mental strength, so the most upsetting thing is knowing that people react with each other the way they do because they can't be bothered with looking at their insides.

I am a strong believer that it is down to your upbringing. Not necessarily and exclusively your parents but your general upbringing and certain people who were around you. It depends how they spoke to you, how they treated you, what other family members were around you and how you felt growing up. If one parent was negative it can affect your whole way of thinking as an adult especially if you are not aware youre doing it. My father was and is a very negative man. I have negative traits but it was pointed out to me and now Im aware of it I fight the negative thoughts every day. Remember its easy to be negative but life is hard. Deal with it.
